Product Manager (f/m)

Who we are
Electronics Materials (EM) located in Basel, is an integral part of Atotech's technology strategy focused on providing leading edge solutions in the fields of advanced dielectrics and substrates, imaging systems and surface protections.

The position:
The Product Manager will have to implement strategic and operational marketing on a defined product range. He/she will act as an interface between product development and the market.

Key responsibilities:

• In terms of technologies and markets: Investigate the future direction of the segments of the electronics industry being of interest to Electronics Materials
• Translate the identified future needs into tangible target and product specifications which can then be worked on by the development team
• Close contact to the R&D Team
• Scouting of new opportunities beyond the current focus on PCB and chip packaging which eventually could become a target for future development projects
• Presentation of results of the ongoing development projects to customers and at international conferences, trade shows, and road shows
• Close collaboration with other business units and Tech Centers in Europe and Asia, collaboration with third parties and research institutes; ensure timely awareness of on-going developments in the relevant markets

Your skills and experience:

• Degree in Science or Engineering (e. g. chemistry, physics, electrical) or an equivalent technical education
• Excellent knowledge of the electronics industry, especially the manufacturing and testing of printed circuit boards and chip packages and the related materials
• Proven track record of project planning, execution, and successful completion
• Superior communication and interpersonal skills
• Well-organized, open-minded, and pragmatic personality
• Excellent command of the English language and preferably one major Asian language
