Finance Manager (m/f) – Leiter Finanz- und Rechnungswesen (m/w)

In this challenging opportunity within our fast-paced business, reporting directly to the VP Finance Europe you focus individual and team energies to deliver results and maximize our operating efficiencies and increase productivity and profitability.

Responsibilities

Provide leadership and management to the accounting and controlling teams, total of (10) ten permanent employees plus temp resources
Daily management of all General Controlling activities in Europe like budget preparation, actual comparisons, forecasting and reporting tasks based on the company´s requests
Direct the monthly close and year-end closing tasks including detail analysis of balance sheet and P&L
Manage and coordinate the monthly financial reporting for sales operations in 9 different countries
Ensure regional financial reporting is consistent with US GAAP and ensure statutory reporting is compliant with local requirements
Creation of significant regional KPI (Key Performance Indicators) and reporting these
Ensure system and culture of effective financial controls and ensure compliance with SOX 404 requirements
Partner with Region Senior management and US SBU / Corporate headquarters to support improvement priorities and new business
Develop lean processes in the finance / reporting / controlling area
Provide sound project management to various critical initiatives including ERP system improvements

Requirements

Bachelor´s degree or similar in accounting, finance or economics; Masters degree or equivalent professional certification highly preferred
A minimum of ten years experience in international accounting (US GAAP, IAS, and IFRS) including at least 3 years in a management capacity, as well as local European GAAP, knowledge in German GAAP
At least 3 years experience in a manufacturing company highly preferred
Persuasive leadership skills and superb technical accounting skills to coach guide and motivate the accounting team
Excellent working knowledge in Excel and ERP systems; database and SQL usage is an advantage
Willingness to rare travel
Fluent English plus preferably good German language skills
Must possess strong competencies in result orientation, analytical skills, team orientation and self-management
