As project manager at WABCO you are responsible for managing all necessary actions to ensure flawless execution and implementation of WABCO’s next generation of system technology. While driving multiple projects together with your cross functional project team you are accountable for project goals in terms of quality, cost and delivery, development and productivity. This means in detail:

• Ensure coherence between project goals and customer needs
• Lead interdisciplinary project teams consisting of the functions engineering, sourcing & purchasing, quality, manufacturing, product marketing etc.
• Manage budgets & team resources
• Develop and track project planning, define and track targets for each function in the project team
• Drive projects through phases & gate reviews
• Ensure execution of all roadmaps within your projects
• Lead modification processes (change requests, cost reductions, lead-time & targets)
• Assure compliance of WABCO’s and customers’ quality plan
• Enhance project communication
• Animate risk assessment, escalations and continuous improvement proposals

• Engineering or business graduate with an additional technical qualification
• Experience in leading technical development projects, ideally in the automotive or aerospace industry
• Business acumen and strategic understanding
• Assertiveness and goal oriented
• Profound communication and presentation skills
• Self-confident and engaging manner
• Very good English language skills, German is a plus
• Willingness to travel
