Position Description: In your area of responsibility you work as a software design engineer in our Technology Development Center Düsseldorf to support our software team with software integration and test automation tasks for mobile network equipment. In this position you learn more about telecommunication and mobile networks including related technologies and protocols, operate and optimize our automated Continuous Integration System, maintain and enhance our automated test setups, release baselines to internal customers, design and implement efficient software code to extend our set of test cases and the test automation framework, make sure that you deliver thouroughly tested code and that faults are fixed, utilize the laboratory equipment including traffic generators, protocol analysers, routers and debuggers, use agile software development techniques, interact closely with our software, hardware, system specification and system testing teams, contribute to continuously improve the quality of our products and our way of working, act as a proactive team player in an enthusiastic and powerful group of experienced software design engineers. Position Requirements: We require that you have a degree in computer science, electrical engineering or other relevant experience, some experience and strong interest in C, C++ and script programming under Unix/Linux, basic know how in version control systems, Internet Protocol knowledge (IP). Helpful would be programming skills in tcl/perl, know how in software integration and software testing, hands on experience with embedded software development under Linux, technical expertise in the telecommunication domain, e.g. WCDMA/LTE, software configuration management experience with Subversion. You need to provide profound conceptual and analytical thinking capabilities, the ability to draw decisions in your own area of responsibility, strong team working skills, fluent communication skills in English, German would be helpful.
