Tracker Development & Integration Engineer (m/f)
The Tracker Development and System Integration Engineer will work in a team of experienced development engineers who are all working on next generation CPV systems. His/her function is on the one hand to develop new sun tracking structures and on the other hand to overview all interfaces of the system components, e.g. module, DC cabling, tracker, tracker control, field cabling, inverter, transformer, and the SCADA system. He/she ensures that all components fit together and that the interface design is highly reliable and cost effective.
Key responsibilities:
- Development of new CPV trackers
- Support of procurement on supplier selection and audit
- Assessment of proposed tracker solutions
- Approval of supplier drawings
- Integration of CPV system components
- Development of electrical and mechanical fixtures/interfaces
- Development and coordination of development tasks on interfaces between the system components
- Definition of system design together with the product manager and the experts for the various components
- Design and preparation of the technical documentation together with the experts
- Responsible for the technical completeness of the bill of materials for CPV systems kits
Qualifications / Profile:
- Graduate degree in mechanical and/or electrical engineering or in mechatronics
- At least three years of experience in development and experience with CAD
- Industrial experience in photovoltaic system design
- Experience in technical documentation
- Customer service attitude both with regards to external customers and internal colleagues
- Strong analytical skills and diligent, systematic yet pragmatic work attitude
- Fluent in English and German
