Key Activities:
Main Purpose of the job
- Build up an infrastructure and knowledge of up-to-date market and customer insights to support strategic business planning, sales strategies and offerings to “customers” cross-functional stakeholders for the existing as well as new product and solution pipelines
- Support European and local management to work on Marketing, Sales as well as R&D strategies
Key Focus
- Create and maintain “virtual” procedure and reimbursement database to build transparency of medical/surgical procedures in Europe
- Develop and conduct primary and secondary market research with business units at Medical and Microscopy
- Collect, store, analyse and conclude market and customer insights
- Be recognised as a company expert in scouting, collecting, analysing and transforming market data into intelligence to allow better decision-making
General
- Support “Research Triangle” to gain competitive advantage for existing products and achieve successful market access for new products
- Support Health Economy Organizations to evaluate and overcome market hurdles
- Assist HEOs in developing and training economic models to support sales management and key account management in selling products and solutions
- Support HEOs in disease state analysis as well as clinical and/or treatment pathways to support creation of value dossiers
- Develop and train on market models to predict market forecasts
- Forecast market opportunities, volumes and size for health care, medical and surgical devices as well as medical business solutions
- Develop and implement processes on identifying, collecting, analysing and distributing competitor intelligence to allow proactive decision-making for European management as well as country management
- Monitor market and competitor trends and performance through dashboards
- Support R&D requirements with Marketing
Marketing and Sales
- Support European brand strategy including launches and evolution of portfolio life cycle with market and customer insights
- Provide Olympus Sales Force Effectiveness (OSFE) with market, customer and competitor data to support the successful execution of the sales process with focus on planning and customer negotiations
Research Triangle Execution
- Deliver Market Intelligence to Market Access to track and anticipate health care, reimbursement and competition evolutions
- Act as team player in the launch strategy with active involvement in the value dossier and response to the requirements of local needs
- Support Medical Affairs in identifying and evaluating clinical needs and in the development of clinical and treatment pathways
Training
- Train marketing of Market Intelligence outcomes in successful adoption
- Support ITC training with sales materials
Market Research
- Collect Voice of Customers at congresses and conferences
- Investigate and support price management with focus on “Willingness to Pay” (WtP) of payers/providers and usability studies to create the “best bit” on our offerings
- Review/select relevant market reports of Market Research consultant agencies and liaise closely with Olympus Cooperation of Americas (OCA) on optimal use and share funding
Your Profile:
- Academic degree in Business Administration
- At least 5 years of international experience in the medical device market
- Experience in working effectively across various cultural environments
- Proven track record in interviewing health care professionals
- Working experience in Market Research in agencies and medical device or pharmaceutical industry
- Insights into Health Economics and Market Access topics
- Fluency in English (written and spoken) and another European language
- Ability to manage projects on time and on budget
- Team player with social competence
- Excellent communication skills
- Analytical and strategic acumen
- Willingness to travel internationally
- Willingness to move to Hamburg
