EMEA Category Buyer Mechanics/Metals m/w

Your Job:

• Strategic purchasing of machined metal components (stamped parts, turned parts) across all relevant Business Units
• Analysis, implementation and reporting of cost saving programs under consideration of the total cost of ownership (TCO) respectively the life cycle costs (LCC)
• Search and selection of alternative suppliers via the global supplier markets as well as negotiation of optimized purchasing conditions within development projects and serial delivery
• Development of sourcing-strategies, coordination of the strategy decision process within the team and implementation accordingly
• Development, negotiation and completion of supplier contracts
• Increase and securing of supplier performance
• Optimization of supplier Management and supply processes

Your Profile:

• Bachelor´s or Master`s degree in relevant field (Industrial engineering, business administration etc)
• Several years of experience in Strategic Purchasing
• Very good knowledge in procurement markets as well as strategic purchasing methods, tools and instruments
• Knowledge of IT-applications (Windows, Lotus Notes), familiar with SAP R/3 respectively ERP 6.0, E-Procurement respectively Supplier Relationship Management Tools as well as data base
• You characterize yourself as:
  • Result driven, autonomous in work
  • Strategic agile and able to deal with ambiguity
  • Structured and analytical way of working, ability to visualize complex information in various ways, technically oriented with interest in working within a multicultural internationally deployed team and worldwide spread suppliers
  • High perseverance combined with negotiation skills and political savvy
• Very good English language skills (business fluent)
• High level of mobility
