Medical Affairs Manager

Hospira is the world’s leading provider of injectable drugs and infusion technologies and we are currently recruiting for a Medical Affairs Manager for our Biosimilar business in Germany.
 

Working from a home office, you will be based in North or Western Germany and will have responsibility for developing and executing the Medical Affairs strategic plan for the Biosimilar Infliximab in Germany.

Key duties include:

  • Identification of key treatment centers and KOLs in the areas of Rheumatoid Arthritis and Gastroenterology
  • Gaining strategic insights from these relationships and input intelligence gained into the medical/marketing plans for Rheumatoid Arthritis and Gastroenterology
  • KOL mapping and development of KOL deployment plans
  • Delivery of medical education plans and activities such as local advisory boards / round tables / 1:1 meetings
  • Delivery of local scientific publications and communications 
  • Support for EMEA clinical development studies and design and delivery of local phase IV initiatives
  • Provide medical and scientific expertise for the Commercial organization
  • Participation in approval of all medical-marketing promotional materials for the Biosimilar Infliximab 
  • Managing the pricing and reimbursement environment for the Biosimilar Infliximab in Rheumatoid Arthritis and Gastroenterology


To be considered for the role you will have gained the following skills/experience:

  • A Medical/Scientific degree with documented academic track record
  • Broad and in-depth knowledge of the Nephrology, Oncology or Rheumatology/ Gastroenterology  (specifically inflammatory bowel diseases) disease areas either through clinical practice, pharmaceutical roles or ideally both.
  • Proven relationship building skills with key opinion leaders
  • Experience with phase IV clinical study management and conduct
  • Knowledge of relevant country regulations
  • Professional level in German and English, both in oral and in written communications
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with strong customer orientation
  • Ability to interpret and present complex clinical data in a clear manner to a variety of audiences
  • Strong Medical Affairs skills (study design, management and conduct of studies, study evaluation, medical writing skills, expert panel conduct, symposium and workshop management, KOL management)
  • Anticipates the German future industry trends and opportunities, proactively develops plans to address these and communicate them to senior management
  • Applies entrepreneurial thinking and spirit in developing the brand
