Citrix XenApp Systemadministrator (f/m) / Frankfurt/Main

Your tasks - to help you progress

As the Citrix XenApp Systemadministrator (f/m) you will be the technical expert accountable and responsible for supporting and maintaining Citrix XenApp availability.

You will perform systems operations across complex hosted shared Citrix environments and provide consultation to other teams within Ernst and Young including, but not limited to, architecture, development, and project management. Day to day work will include troubleshooting issues, deployment of applications on the Citrix platform, documentation, and consultation to other teams.

  

Essential Functions of the Job / Responsibilities

  • 3rd Level Support: incident troubleshooting, analysis and resolution beyond 1st, 2nd level, consultant to other IT functions in terms of using production Citrix enterprise environment

  • Application Integration: includes identifying dependencies and pre-requisites for the solution and validating non-functional attributes of the system design

  • Infrastructure Integration: integrate new services based on system designs, participate in automation, consolidation, centralization projects

 

Your profile - to help us progress together
  • A degree in Computer Science/Management or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience
  • At least 5 years of experience in complex Windows Terminal Service and Citrix environments
  • Advanced experience in Citrix Presentation Server, XenApp 5, 6.0 and 6.5, Citrix EdgeSight, Citrix Web Interface, Microsoft Terminal Services RDP
  • Experience in Microsoft Server 2003/2008 R2 platform, Microsoft ADS with GPO support
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills to support large Citrix enterprise environments as a centralized application platform
  • Skills in Scripting VB/J, PowerShell are desirable
  • Ability to act very independently 
  • Flexibility to multiple demands with the ability to shift priorities
  • Ability to troubleshoot, analyze, and provide solutions to complex issues within an enterprise environment
  • Working in a global IT organization serving large environments requires flexibility in working hours in cases of operational issues
  • English language skills - excellent written and verbal communication
