For our LOC Business Unit based in Zürich / Mannheim we are currently looking to recruit a:
 
 
System Lead Engineer - Automatic Train Protection (ATP) (m/f)

 
You will be responsible for the conceptual design of train control systems and their integration into our vehicles. Co-operating with suppliers and customers, you will implement engineering solutions taking into account national approval requirements.
  
Key Accountabilities
  • Define and develop the appropriate technical solutions to integrate the ATP system fulfilling the requirements
  • Prepare and define technical requirement specification for an ATP system according to customer requirement
  • Give technical support to our procurement network to guarantee the proper third party supply in the design and development of the requested ATP system architecture
  • Define and develop the functional, reliability and maintenance requirements
  • Design the electrical, mechanical, SW and HW interface
  • Set and prove the safety requirements of the chosen solutions
  • Define and develop the Integration of Human  Machine Interface (HMI)
  • Define testing requirement and support the system installation and testing phase



Qualifications
  • University-level degree in Electrical Engineering, or relevant professional experience
  • Solid knowledge of signal transmission and processing, preparing software requirements and test specifications
  • Several years of professional experience, ideally developing rail vehicles or rail traffic systems
  • System Engineering background preferred. Project Management experience an advantage
  • Fluent English and good spoken German are required for this position
  • Cultural awareness and team-working skills
  • Ability to work systematically and independently, taking initiative where necessary
  • Willingness to travel
