Our client is a leading European supplier of temperature control technology in the world. Due to its rapid expansion plan in China, we are searching for a high-qualified General Manager / Sales Director for the subsidiary in Shanghai.
General Manager/ Sales Director – Shanghai, China
Responsibilities:
- Full responsibility of all commercial aspects of the subsidiary as well as of staff
- Strategic planning and structuring of sales activities, business plans and sales budgets
- Budget controlling for projects and products
- Key-account management to ensure good long-term relationship
- Collecting market intelligence, technical and commercial market and customer analysis, point out market trends and new business areas
- Planning, active pursuit and acquisition of new customers, improvement of customer satisfaction and loyalty
- Preparation and leading of order and acquisition meetings as well as final sales price meetings (technical and commercial)
- Initiation and leading of project management in China
- On-the-spot support for main marketing department during PR activities (Website, product brochures, trade-shows etc.)
- Lead and aid sales and project management teams
- Secure pro-active participation of product and strategy development
- Market introduction of new products
- Report to and coordination with HQs in Europe
Requirements:
- University degree in Engineering, preferably in production technology or mechanical engineering, ideally an additional degree in Business Administration
- Proven strong business management skills (P&L, controlling, budgeting, cost accounting etc.) with focus on sales and marketing
- 5-10 years work experience in technical sales as well as business management in an international company
- Very good market knowledge in China
- Experienced in project management and customer relationship management
- Strong personality with the ability in leading and developing a sales team
- Strategic and aggressive business development approach
- Willingness to travel frequently
- Strong sales-oriented personality
- Perfect oral and written skills in Chinese, English and/or German
